Please see the message below from our national office (AMHCA) about a call to action to promote the bill that would finally enable LMHCs and LMFTs in Florida to bill Medicare!

Dear  AMHCA Members,

AMHCA is extremely excited to announce our virtual action day initiative to support the Mental Health Access Improvement Act (S. 828)!  We need your help! 

On Tuesday, September 14th, please join us in tweeting, posting on Facebook, and calling your Senators in support of making marriage and family therapists and mental health counselors Medicare-eligible providers in legislation Congress is now considering! 

On February 16th, please join us in tweeting, posting on Facebook, and calling your Senators on February 24th in support of making marriage and family therapists and mental health counselors Medicare-eligible providers! 

Your voice, together with many voices across the country, will amplify our message to the U.S. Senate!  You will find information about what we are advocating for as a group together, who are our target Senators from your state, sample Twitter and Facebook posts and graphics on our website at https://www.amhca.org/advocacy/medicare. 

More information will be provided in the next few days, and AMHCA will be announcing the virtual action day through social media today.  Get the word out on #UpdateMedicare.
