- FMHCA announces free “COVID-19 Resources for Mental Health Counselors” webinar. The President of FMHCA will be co-presenting with the Executive Director and a Board Member of Florida’s Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (a.k.a., the “491 Board”). This will be an excellent opportunity to ask important questions about updates on laws and rules related to COVID-19 as well as resources for keeping your practice afloat during this crisis. - SMHCA, the Tampa Bay Area chapter of FMHCA, is providing a recording of a 1-hour meeting with Tampa Bay Area mental health professionals covering COVID-19 resources, precautions, transition to telehealth, etc. View it here for free.
- Dr. Howard Chusid, an AMHCA member and Ethics Committee Member of FMHCA, recently posted information on AMHCA’s open forum about counselors and eligibility for financial relief associated with COVID-19. Read it here.
