Barnes has been an LCSW for more than 20 years and a Clinical Supervisor for 5 years. She was previously Clinical Director of Eckerd Kids Community Alternatives, Director of Therapeutic Group Home and Youth Crisis Services at PEMHS in private practice in north Pinellas County and family therapy training under Carl Whitaker.

This training will explain the role humor can play as a component of resiliency and how humor can be used as a powerful tool for healing emotional trauma.
The presentation will include basic understanding of the biological effects of humor, its relevance across cultures and how humor and laughter correlate with mental health.
