Hello, beloved SMHCA members!

Some important stuff is happening in February and March for FMHCA.  We are promoting a bill that would remedy the problem of registered interns in private practice settings needing a licensed mental health professional "on the premises" when providing clinical services (even telehealth).  Also, the bill would clarify that LMHCs, LMFTS, and LCSWs can be appointed by courts to conduct forensic evaluations, which would greatly strengthen our scope of practice in Florida.  

We need your help!  You can join a delegation of counselors who will be participating in brief virtual meetings with legislators in the last week of March to promote the bill.  This is your chance to meet your senator and representative and be a part of the solution.
