Thanks, Aaron. Those are great training topics...just signed up for one. I didn't see SMHCA on the list of member organization, but I used my FMHCA and AMHCA membership. Is SMHCA supposed to be on that list?

I cut a pasted the list from the order page:

N/A - None of the organizations below.

American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMCHA)

    Darsey, Black & Associates

Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FMCHA)

Emerald Coast Mental Health Counselors Association (ECMHCA)

Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA-GA)

    LifeWorks Group

    Louisiana Counseling Association

Mental Health Counselor's Association of Palm Beach (MHCAPB)

South Florida Association of Christian Counselors

The Northeast Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (NEFMHCA)

For those interested in forensic mental health, I thought I'd share about these upcoming trainings from SMHCA's partner, the National Board of Forensic Evaluators.  (Note: If you decide to register, make sure you select the discounted "member" rate as all SMHCA members are automatically entitled to that discount.)

4/21/21: How to Communicate with a Serial Killer

5/7/21: Working With Families in the Florida Family Court System: Roles, Boundaries, and Limitations

5/13/21: The Satanic Panic: Understanding the Role of the Mental Health Professional

    6/9/21: Suicide Risk Assessment

6/25/21: The Mental Health Professional's Role in Prevention and Mitigation of Police Violence and Burnout

Also, for those interested in training to become Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluators (CFMHEs), there are two virtual certification workshops coming up very soon:

    4/23/21

    6/11/21
