Do you think its right that LMHCs, the largest sector of the behavioral healthcare workforce in the U.S. and—dare I say—the most qualified group of professionals to provide psychotherapy are EXCLUDED from accepting Medicare?  Of course not!  Now’s your chance to send a message to Congress that our nation’s seniors deserve access to mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists.  If each of us made one simple contact to our legislators in support of HR 5531, which would give Medicare rights to counselors, they’d be hard-pressed to not pass this bill.  See attached graphic for details on what you can do.  It will only take a few minutes of your time.
