    Jay,

Have you reached out to our SMHCA members? We might have some members that have expertise in working with veterans or at the minimum they might be able to share some resources with us.

Thanks for taking on this project!

Thanks Tony.  I knew we could depend on you and VCV.  I'm monitoring this post with hopes to see input from others in the Association.

Hello Jay, as partners with SMHCA, Veterans Counseling Veterans will help with whatever SMHCA needs.

I'm looking for input and help to possibly develop a page on the SMHCA website dedicated to Veterans Issues.

Among other things the content would include links to services and resources for Veterans.

One suggestion might be an FAQ(frequently asked questions) page for providers and a separate one for Veterans.  The provider page would have information to help providers make contact with Veterans and Veteran support organizations, reimbursement questions and training specific to Veterans needs.  The Veterans page would list support organizations and other resources that are available.

Some ideas for FAQs for providers would be things like:

How do I get listed as a provider who serves Veterans?

    How do I get referrals?

    How are services reimbursed?

What if I am not a military insurance approved provider?

What resources are there for training on military and Veteran

    interests?

Ideas for FAQs on the Veterans FAQ might include things like the following:

What kinds of services are available to Veterans?

    How do I get services?

Are there any providers near me?

What if someone in my family needs services?

If you're interested in helping with this or you have any suggestions for input, you can post them here so we can all see how it comes together.

    Thanks for using the forum,

    Jay
