Good morning Mr. Norton:
My name is Rick Rivera. I am an immigration attorney at the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR). I am reaching out to you because we are in need of mental health professionals in Tampa Bay who can provide pro bono or low-cost counseling services for immigrant children and their families.
ProBAR, a project of the American Bar Association, provides legal and support services to children and families who travel to the U.S. - Mexico border seeking protection from violence and persecution in their home countries. ProBAR serves more detained unaccompanied children annually than any other legal services organization in the country. You can find more information about us at: www.americanbar.org/probar.
To better care for the individuals we serve, we maintain a list of mental health professionals in their new home areas. This list is provided to children and adults with high levels of need that are referred to us for mental health services. If you are able to provide counseling services pro bono or at a cost less than $60 per session we would like to add your name to our list of mental health professionals.
Please let us know if you are able to assist and we will contact you to verify your details. We thank you for your time and your support of our efforts.
Kind regards,
Rick Rivera
