Maria G. Giuliana is a licensed mental health counselor, counselor educator, Florida Board-certified qualified supervisor, and 20-year retired U.S. Navy veteran. She is the founder of Beyond The Matter Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC, a telehealth practice serving clients in Florida and Iowa, and Auravita EDU, an educational platform dedicated to advancing professional competence, personal development, and transformative learning.
Maria specializes in trauma-informed care, military mental health, LGBTQIA+ affirmative counseling, couples and relationship counseling, minority stress, moral injury, and major life transitions. Her clinical and supervisory work integrates humanistic, experiential, relational, somatic, and culturally responsive approaches. She has extensive training in trauma treatment, psychodrama, clinical supervision, the Gottman Method, and The Couples Institute.
As a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at National Louis University, Maria’s scholarship focuses on counselor expertise and military cultural competency. She is also a Florida Board-approved continuing education provider and an experienced presenter who has delivered training at local, state, and national conferences. Across her work as a clinician, educator, supervisor, and veteran advocate, Maria is committed to preparing counselors to provide ethical, affirming, culturally responsive, and clinically effective care.
