What happened in Atlanta was awful.

    Shocking.
    Devastating.

My heart goes out to that community and the families impacted.

What the media and press did with it made it even worse.

    It prompted me to move.

I’ve been planning to launch a podcast and this incident got me into immediate action.

I’d be honored if you’d give listen on Buzzsprout at: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1420174/episodes/8166438

Or you can watch it on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/PS9cAwV4SLU

The podcast was rushed, raw and unrehearsed, so I’m going to admit that it has a lot of flaws, and it is “perfectly imperfect,” but I believe there are valuable lessons for us to talk about.

It’s an outgrowth of my Ph.D. project on sexual addiction.

Yes, two words – sexual and addiction - that are very charged by themselves, are often misused and usually misunderstood, and when put side-by-side in what I call “
unholy linguistic matrimony,” there’s a high likelihood of psycho-socio-emotional explosion.

Yes…you know what can hit the fan.

I’m calling the podcast Sex, Addiction, and the Missing Peace: As Intimacy Increases, You'll Find the Missing Pieces...(although that may change, as it does seem a bit too long and cumbersome…stay tuned).

This episode: Sex, Addiction, and Sexual Addiction: How the Horrific Atlanta Murders have Changed Everything...

Would love feedback, questions, and comments.

Thanks for ALL y’all do .
