Description

This educational event is for licensed therapists to learn more about substance-use disorders and their treatment. The speaker, John Harden, is career professional in SUD/DD treatment with his own recovery story. John began practicing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in 1988 and earned Masters Degrees in Clinical Social Work and Public Health from USF in 1996. Understanding deeply that substance use disorders are diseases of the brain is foundational to good clinical practice. The Addicted Brain consists of a succinct power point presentation with Q & A, lasting 50 minutes to 1 hour total. 1 CE will be awarded to eligible attendees. Refreshments will be provided.
