We also want to honor George William Hamblin, the Former Commander of Post 5. He enthusiastically supported Veterans Counseling Veterans events supporting Veteran suicide. He was involved in all of our Veteran Suicide Prevention events including hosting all 4 of our Special Memorial ceremonies. I joined American Legion Post 5 because of how Bill made me feel welcome and his unwavering support of the Veteran community. COVID-19 temporarily prevented us from having a Celebration of Life for Bill. This is by no means a substitute.
